Code of Conduct
We are dedicated to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone participating in the meeting. We want all attendees to have a productive and enjoyable experience, free from discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior. This commitment applies regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, nationality, religion, or any other aspect of personal identity.
We do not tolerate harassment in any form. All participants are expected to adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Maintain Professional Conduct
Act with professionalism at all times.
Harassment, including but not limited to, sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes, is strictly prohibited.
Harassment includes (but is not limited to):
Sustained disruption of talks or events.
Inappropriate physical contact.
Unwelcome sexual attention or innuendo.
Deliberate intimidation or stalking.
Photography or recording of individuals without their consent.
Offensive comments related to race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, or religion.
2. Communicate Respectfully
Use language and imagery appropriate for a diverse and professional audience.
Do not use any sexual, sexist, or otherwise inappropriate language, humor, or imagery.
Respect cultural, personal, and professional boundaries.
3. Be Considerate and Respectful
Treat all participants with respect and kindness.
Critique ideas constructively rather than targeting individuals.
Do not insult, demean, or belittle others.
4. Consequences of Violations
Individuals who violate this policy will face disciplinary action, which may include:
Verbal warnings.
Removal from the meeting or activity without refund.
Reporting of the behavior to their employer or institution.
5. Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness a violation of this policy, please report it confidentially to one of the meeting organizers:
